Parent Meetings: Middle School Boundaries

Post

The Roseville City School District Board of Education is seeking parent and community feedback on proposed changes to the current middle school boundaries starting in the 2021-2022 school year.  The proposed boundary changes are based on the following criteria:

Create stable enrollment patterns at all four middle schools to ensure the long-term viability of programs and services

Proximity to elementary schools

TK-12th grade program alignment: International Baccalaureate and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)

TK-12th grade feeder patterns

Alleviate future overcrowding at Chilton Middle School

Please plan to attend one of our parent meetings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to view the proposed boundary changes and provide feedback.

Tuesday, January 28, at all four middle schools

Wednesday, January 29, at Cirby Elementary

Thursday, January 30, at Fiddyment Farm Elementary, Orchard Ranch Elementary, Kaseberg Elementary, or Woodbridge Elementary

Additional meetings will be scheduled in conjunction with currently calendared parent meetings in February at Fiddyment Farm Elementary, Orchard Ranch Elementary, Kaseberg Elementary, Woodbridge Elementary, and Cirby Elementary.  Parents of these specific schools will be contacted as soon as the dates and times are confirmed.

Finally, to ensure every family has an opportunity to provide the Board of Education with feedback, we scheduled an electronic feedback form to go out to all parents in February.

Please feel free to contact me at dgarcia@rcsdk8.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Respectfully,

Derk
